Thank you SEIU for your endorsement! Social Service, Home Health, Nurses, Librarians, Parks Staff and many other service workers are the people we depend on everyday. They are the backbone of communities! They deserve good pay, great benefits and most importantly their voice to be heard. I am proud to stand everyday in unity with labor unions and workers!
As an Indigenous candidate running for office, it is deeply meaningful to be endorsed by a National Native Organization working to #BuildNativePower
for us, by us. Representation is important, and I want all little girls with dreams to know that they can grow up to be women with a vision. As the first Indigenous woman to run in the 9th district, I am honored to be slated among such distinguished candidates. We can only create change by voting for it!
Thank you #advancenativepl for believing in my leadership. #NativeVote2022
I am honored to receive the endorsement of the National Women’s Political Caucus today. Strong women leading at the center is an answer to fixing our broken systems. Supporting women who can lead is how we are going to get there! For the first time, the 9th CD has the choice to vote for a woman on a major party ticket for Congress. For the first time, women in the 9th CD have a choice to vote for a woman who will fight for women’s rights every day! #womenlead #DeVaughanForCongress
As your representative in Congress, I will stand firm for union rights and workers’ rights. I will fight for the rights of ALL working people in the 9th District to achieve a living wage, safe working environments, benefits, and pensions for themselves and their families. #ProACT

As a town council member in Big Stone Gap, I know just how important it is to have strong leadership for Southwest Virginia at all levels of government. Today, I’m proud to announce my endorsement of Taysha DeVaughan for the Democratic nomination for congress. She’s one of the most dedicated community leaders I know. I worked side by side with her to communicate to congressional leaders just how important it was to save the Black Lung Trust Fund and save the UMWA Pension Fund. She has worked to safeguard our environment while continuing to push for sustainable investment that provides good-paying jobs for the men and women of Southwest Virginia. I know Taysha will do everything it takes to provide a strong voice in Washington and I couldn’t think of a better example of Southwest Virginia values personified.
